Why the Washer Does Not Stop Instantly
A front-load washer must reduce drum speed and remove water before the door can be safely released. The pump may continue to run and the controls may appear slow to respond. That behavior is different from an unexplained mid-cycle failure when nobody pressed Pause or Cancel.
Let the Routine Finish
Keep the drain path connected and wait through the documented interval. Do not unplug the washer merely because the pump is running after a cancellation. Interrupting the drain can leave water in the drum and extend the door-lock period.
Clearing the Display
